Anoushka Shankar

Anoushka Shankar is a British and American sitarist. She also performs music. She was first of her generation to be a member of an award from the British House of Commons Staff. Anoushka Shakar, who is just a emerging singer on Indian Sitar is Anoushka. She is Ravi Shankar's student, and the daughter. Born in London, she spent the beginning of her career traveling between London and New Delhi. At the age of 13, her first show at New Delhi took place. After moving to Encinitas, CA in 1999 she received the high-school diploma. Anouskha even though she is just a teenager, has had an impressive recording and performing career. She has been performing with her father on stage for several years. The singer made Anourag her debut album on her own in 1998. A year later, she dropped the Grammy nominated Live in Carnegie Hall. Her stage career is very broad as she's performed in most of the world's major venues. Her career doesn't just comprise musical performances. Bapi: The love of My Live is her 2002 novel, and was a tribute to Ravi Shankar. Also, she has appeared in. in the 2003 movie Dance Like a Man, where she portrayed a Bharat Natyam dancer young girl. Anoushka Shakar's career as a professional is only going to continue to expand and grow. We can look forward to seeing many interesting things coming from her. Anoushka was born in England however, she spent the majority of her childhood between London in the UK and Delhi. After that, she relocated to California and enrolled in the high school there. In Delhi at his 75thbirthday celebration she made her debut performing the sitar in front of the audience at the age of four, following her nine year old father. Anoushka was able to gain a great deal of experience by touring across the globe along with her father. She played at Carnegie Hall in her teenage time, and also recorded at George Harrison's WOMAD Festival. The youngest female to be awarded the House of Commons Shield, presented by British Parliament as recognition of her talent and musicianship in the Asian Arts.
